Welcome, In this Blog post I will be giving you Landscape Photography tips that will help boost your Photography.

Include Landscape shots into your Engagement shoots and into your Wedding shoots. People associate with beautiful elements and when you become good at taking nature shots, clients will resonate with that beauty.

Here is my top 10 Landscape Photography tips

1) Attend a Landscape Photography workshop, Alain Proust is the Best in South Africa, He hosts Nikon’s every year. (He has a cool French accent)

2) Join a Hiking club and go and discover remote places which people don’t normally get to see. The last few images on the blog below is from a Harkerville hike. Foreigners travel to South Africa to view our amazing places, Checkout, The Otter Trail, Tshitsikamma, Amatola etc.

3) go out for a sunday drive to all the wine farms in Stellenbosch and Paarl area. Wine farms have fantastic views and Landscapes, Checkout Dornier

4) Follow the Road less travelled. I’m not saying sell your car and get that 4×4 Monster to go off road, Occasionally take a dirt road and see where it leads you.

5) Go to a Book shop and look at Landscape photography Books, Find the Landscape that you like and then go visit that same excact shot to see if you can get close to the same picture. I do this at least once a month.

6) Include Sunsets, Yes you’ll have to get up early with a take-awy coffee for this baby. Don’t only wait for sunsets, Do sunrises as swell.

7) One word…Walter Mitty the Move. Okey, its been 4 words, Who cares, What I mean is, go and take a chapter out of his book, travel to Oslo or  amazing international places and do the extreme adventure thing (Please don’t quite your job and give the Plack speech in the end).

8) Use your Iphone and jump on your house rooftop with a view. Or seek a high rise and take amazing shots from their.

9) Include pathways, roads, a focal point, Balance, rule of thirds and people into your shot.

10) Develop a deep love for Landscape Photography (okey, I must admit its getting weird), But What I mean is, I enjoy the adventure seeking out new places, chasing sunsets, going though tough terrain to get to see amazing places, I absolutely love this.

Hope You’ve enjoyed my post, Good luck and enjoy the adventure!!!
